Drottningholm
Drottningholm är en tätort på Lovön i Mälaren som tillhör Ekerö kommun. Drottningholm har broförbindelse med Nockeby i Stockholm genom Drottningholmsbron och Nockebybron (länsväg 261).
I Drottningholm finner man även Drottningholms slott som är ett kungligt lustslott . Sedan 1981 är Drottningholms slott kungafamiljens officiella bostad. Kungafamiljen är bosatt i slottets södra länga.
Drottningholms slott är den svenska stormaktstidens förnämsta slottsbyggnad och ett världsarv. Slottet fick sitt namn redan 1580, under Johan III:s tid. Han lät här bygga ett stenhus åt sin drottning Katarina Jagellonica. Slottsparken är till stora delar öppen för besökare året om.

Drottningholm Palace is the Swedish Great Power period’s finest castle building and a World Heritage Site. The palace got its name already in 1580, during John III’s reign. He let this build a stone house for his Queen Catherine Jagellonica. The park is largely open to visitors year round.
